Owners on working with Frosch
We talk to owners all the time – on the phone and in person. Below are excerpts from their feedback.
Before Frosch our season ended on 25 August. Now the first German guests arrive in April and the last leave in mid-October. Settlements are clear and the agent answers the phone.
I was afraid of the language barrier. It turned out I don't need German – the office in Münster handles everything before arrival, and guests come with ready directions.
No agency or operator has ever made such beautiful photos of our place. The same apartments, but in the pictures they look straight out of a catalogue. Guests write that it is exactly like the photos.
We have worked together for over ten years. Some guests come back every year in the same week – we know them by name. It is a completely different relationship than with booking portals.
We are one of the first Frosch properties in Kashubia. The agent came in person, looked at the house and immediately told us what to improve before the shoot. The first bookings came after six weeks.
What I value most is that I paid nothing upfront and that Frosch pays me, not the guest. I get a transfer for every stay and I don't have to care whether the guest settled with Frosch. Other companies first invoiced me for a 'starter package'.
Nobody had promoted the Drawsko Lakeland in Germany before. Frosch added our region as a new destination and the first guests from Berlin were delighted it is only a three-hour drive.
Frosch guests are mainly couples 50+ and families with small children. Calm, punctual, they leave the property tidy. In six years we have not had a single serious incident.
The printed catalogue is impressive. Our cabin is on the same page as properties from Rügen and Usedom. German retirees still browse paper – and they call.
I had doubts whether the price with Frosch's commission would be too high for guests. After the first season I did the maths: Frosch paid me exactly what we had agreed in the price list for every stay, and the apartment was occupied from May to September without gaps – I earned more than the year before.
The shoot preparation guide was concrete: room by room, with a checklist. The photographer arrived and the house was ready within an hour. Nobody had ever shown our house the way it really looks.
I am retired and do not want to manage portals, calendars and online payments. Frosch does it for me. I just welcome the guests and hand over the keys.
The agent knows my property better than some of my staff. When the boiler failed mid-stay, he helped calm the guests in German before the repair service arrived.
The drone photos showed the beach is 300 metres away – that sells better than any description. All of July and August were booked by March.
I listed the property through the form in November. The agent called after ten days, the shoot was in December, and in February I had my first summer bookings.
Our cabins stood empty outside the summer holidays. German guests come in May for kayaking and in September for mushroom picking. The season has grown by three months.
I still sell some dates myself and through portals. Frosch has no problem with that – we agree which weeks go to them, and it has worked for years without conflict.
Frosch said straight away that the sauna and jacuzzi are our strongest asset on the German market. The shoot covered the wellness area too and those are the photos guests mention in reviews.
Monthly statements arrive regularly and the transfers from Frosch are on time – regardless of when the guest paid. After three years I can say this is the most predictable partner I have had.
